Matthew Palmer is an integral part of the META team, having worked for Extreme Networks for over 20 years through acquisitions, having previously been with Nortel and then as Avaya. In his current role, leading the Sales Engineering team since 2018, Matthew has been driving company success by coordinating with clients on Extreme Networks products and managing his team of 5 engineers.
Considered a trusted advisor to customers across multiple verticals such as government, media, financial services, healthcare, hospitality and service providers, Matthew has extensive experience in the data network industry and the EMEA region. He first started out as a technical services team member for the company in the UK in 2001 and has since grown his career within the company, and across geographies, achieving significant milestones along the way. Through his long tenure in the data industry, Matthew is a first-hand witness to the incredible leaps networks and associated technologies have made in the past decades.
His expertise is focused on network infrastructure, high quality technical engineering and consultancy. Under his guidance, his team has accomplished outstanding growth of customer base across the META region including major wins in all verticals.
Prior to his role at Extreme Networks/Avaya/Nortel, Matthew has also worked with the Post Office in the United Kingdom as network support for their 50000 users on Nortel infrastructure. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physics from York University, United Kingdom and is currently based in Dubai, UAE.
