What is OSPF?

Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a routing protocol used in computer networks to help routers dynamically exchange information and determine the most efficient paths for data to travel. It operates within an autonomous system (AS), and routers using OSPF share information about network topology, allowing them to calculate the shortest path to reach a destination.
