Groupe ADP is a global leader in the airport industry, managing the two largest airports in France: Paris-Orly (ORY) and Paris Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG). The organization embarked on a significant project to renew its entire network infrastructure with SPIE ICS and Extreme Networks to support the increasing demand for high-performance, scalable, and reliable network connections.

Challenges

  • Needed to replace outdated switches across 700 technical locations, which were critical for connecting all equipment on their network infrastructure.
  • Too much technical complexity, the organization needed to standardize, automate, and industrialize processes and tools to simplify operations
  • 24/7 operations limit when technical projects can be done. There needs to be minimal downtime, and updates need to be done in tight timeframes to not impact operations.

  • Smooth Deployment: The collaboration between Groupe ADP, SPIE ICS, and Extreme Networks resulted in a modern, reliable network infrastructure, meeting the project’s goals and enabling smooth operations with minimal disruption. In addition, Extreme's Premier Services team was called in to support the project during the busy season in the leadup to the 2024 Summer Olympics.
